A lot of your browser's data is open and free. Any web developer can tell you this. This is true of your computer too, friends lists, emails, a lot of this can be accessed. In the world of meta narrative, accessing this data can make an experience more real.
A game creator can build in fake messaging, fake communication with friends, can simulate your IMs going off, can blur this world between the real and the imaginary.
But should they?
